TASK 3: WWW Lesson Plan

‘How to Wrap a Gift Box’

LEVEL: Form 2 (Intermediate)

TIME: 2 Periods (70 minutes)

AIMS: To learn how to wrap a gift box creatively.

EDUCATIONAL EMPHASIS: CCTS

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- One computer per group of 2 -3 students
- Internet connection
- Web Browser
- Worksheet

PREPARATION:
1. Locate a video clip on how to wrap a gift box in the net.
2. Watch the video clip to make sure the suitability of the language content for the students’ level of reading comprehension.
3. Prepare a worksheet based on the video clip.
4. Acknowledge the students with what would have in the next class.
5. Ask the students to be in pair and to bring materials needed for the activity such as wrapping paper, box, scissors, glue, masking tape and anything they prefer for decoration.

PROCEDURE:
1. Teacher shows the class a present which wrapped creatively and asked the students whether they know how to wrap a gift box by their own.
2. Teacher asks the students to sit in their pair and asks them to watch the video carefully.
3. Teacher plays a video on ‘How to Wrap a Gift Box’ using the projector in front of the class.
4. Teacher assesses the students to choose one of the pair to be the demonstrator and the other one as the one who write the instruction. (For the group in 3, there would be 2 demonstrators.)
5. Teacher distribute a worksheet to each group/pair asks the students to prepare with their materials to wrap a gift box.
6. Teacher plays the video clip once again. Meanwhile, the students must start to do their wrapping and write the instruction available from the video clip.
7. Teacher gives time for the students to finish their work and any decoration before present it to the class.
8. Students present their works and submit their write-up in the worksheet provided.
