1. Why do you think evaluation of CALL courseware, websites, materials etc important?

basically, an evaluation of a/any product is prepared/given for the consumers/users acknowledgment. based from that only, it show how IMPORTANT an evaluation is! as a user, the evaluation would act as the guideline/information needed to use the product later on and also to promote it to others. as it matter affect, without the evaluation, user would be hesitate to use or buy such materials and they would be left in doubt. in another point of view, since i am taking CALL, such evaluation which i seek is believed to meet my quest of how aware i am to what i am dealing with. it is so true! why? it is unquestionable of a human right. they tend to criticize on their surroundings. that is why the evaluation is non-arguable subject to discussed any further. it is end there alone as a fact which everyone has to accept.

2. How do you think Hot Potatoes JCloze may help your students learn English?

for me...HOTPOTATOES is simply AMAZING!! just like doing a magic trick, our exercise question which we would like to prepare is completed in a blink of an eye! besides of combining an interactive language learning by having technology all together, we can easily tackle students' interest of participating. furthemore, teacher's work becomes less burdening. in addition, by having such method, learning activiies would be more centralized and exercise can be done just it time... :)

Hey there..nice to meet whoever u are. my full name is mohammad firdaus bin mokhtar. i am known as daus among my friends here.

im quite a novice computer user. im not being show off by rating in that group. but, honestly, my justification upon being a novice is because im a dependent-learner. my first and my only laptop which i bought in 2008 and since, i was really excited and thats was my first experience of having such technology. (haha..so outdated) . well, as being a novice user and a dependent-learner, D.I.Y is my principle. if u dont try it urself, u wouldn't know how. so, after 2 years, since i knew how to operate or format and install things, i just apply them back. and thats it! : )

as a students, microsoft office is the main requirements to master. assignments are made from those software skills. and so do i. but, not all of the time i spend hours on laptop for assignments. most of the other time is on surfing the net,playing game, movies and music. im quite moderate on computer application. i dont really install a lot of things, i dont really downloading any sort of file because i got to reduce such things that would waste time.

during the previous semester, i experienced of interactive learning through the internet whereby i had to participate in student portal as subject requirements. and it was a brilliant. students were being so active and productive.

well....i haven't go for my practicum yet. but, i think im quite lucky to learn CALL in the first place before practicum. i think CALL is a MUST before practicum. it surely would have help very much for me..since, students nowadays are so into technology. hence, incorporating technology in teaching would be a big success for practicum, i believe.

i heard before that the seniors who are having
their practicum before and also in the present time, they were struggling to tackle their students' interest in class. by having CALL into their teaching, students started to actively participated. nevertheless...IT DOES HELP!

based from the course outline, and from my understanding how CALL subject would work, i would want to learn everything on how computer would help in language learning because i really need it!!
